Summer has unofficially arrived in Houston, and boy has it been HOT! Today was actually cloudy and rainy and it was so refreshing. I'm throughly enjoying it because I know days like this are few and far between in south Texas. I'm interested to see how Kelty does in the heat. We are thinking about buying him a small plastic pool for the backyard. :)
Summer to me means traveling and I'm kicking it off with a trip this weekend to see my maid of honor/favorite red head/college roommate/best friend a girl could ask for!!
We plan on visiting our old college stomping grounds, taking in a Rangers baseball game, and just enjoying hanging out together! I'm so excited, it's going to be a great girls weekend!! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you guys.
Me and Bryan are also getting ready for our 1 year anniversary trip. That felt weird to type because I still can't believe we've almost been married a year, WOW. To celebrate, we are headed here
Horseshoe Bay Resort. It's going to be a fun weekend of relaxing and enjoying some time together just the two of us. Don't worry about Kelty, he's going to be having his own little vacation. :)
Speaking of the little rascal, here is a video of him at the beach on Memorial Day. Whenever we hold him over the water he starts to paddle his front paws. He likes to be prepared.

Yea! I get to be the first one to comment. Sounds like a fun weekend coming up! Love the girls weekend. And Kelty is too funny trying to swim above the water. Have you seen him actually swim?? What kind of vacation is Kelty having while you and Bryan are relaxing at the resort?? Can't wait to see pictures!!

ReplyDeleteWe did see Kelty get to swim in the ocean. He would follow us out as far as we would go, and once he couldn't touch any more he would paddle. He did great! He was a good little swimmer!!
Kelty is going to a place called Willow Creek Ranch in Tomball. They get their own room, and they have ponds and swimming pools to play in. He's going to have a blast!!
I agree that summer is AWESOME! As a teacher I am reminded every morning that I get to sleep in what a great profession I chose :o)
