I love to read people's blogs and keep up with the things going on in everyone's lives. I also like to read blogs of people I don't know. :) I feel like I get to know them after reading their blog, and it's fun to find people all over the US that are going through the same things we are. I found the sweetest blog of a newlywed from Minnesota! She has been married for 3 months, and we connected right away. Her posts are really inspiring, and I love reading about her heart for the Lord and her husband! If you want to read her sweet blog, check it out here. She is the one who tagged me for this blog "award." Thanks Ria!!
The point is to share 7 things about yourself that people may not know, so here goes.....
1. I LOVE to sleep, and need many hours a night to function normally. My mom made the comment the other day that when I was younger, if I did not get 10 hours of sleep I was not the most fun person to be around. :) Bryan teases me all the time about this fact, but I just told him that was the way God made me. It's going to be interesting to see how I adjust when we have a newborn and I will be up all hours of the night. I guess we'll see how that goes. (Not any time soon!)
2.I'm obsessed with the color GREEN. Seriously, obsessed is the perfect word to use. This has been going on for probably about 5 years now. I hope I don't get tired of green, because most things I own are that color. A lot of my clothes are green, I even have 2 kinds of green pants and 3 green coats. My kitchen is green (mixer, teakettle, spoon rest, dishes, canisters.....) and every room in our house has some form of green in it. I also have a green cell phone cover and one time at the bank the teller asked me if I changed my cover to match my outfit, ha! I told him no (that's way too high maintenance for me) that I just love green, so naturally most of my clothes match!
3. My favorite type of restaurants are the ones that serve soups/sandwiches. Panera Bread is my absolute fav! Every time we go there, I tell Bryan that I could eat there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday and still not get tired of it. He reminds me that I tell him that EVERY time we go there. I enjoy the variety that comes with sandwiches. You can have so many different kinds, the possibilities are endless! Also very important is that the bread makes the sandwich. If your bread is not good, your sandwich will not be either.
4. I wish I could wear comfy clothes every day. When I come home from work I change immediately into sweats. Thankfully I'm a teacher so my job doesn't require me to really dress up. But if I had it my way I would wear comfy clothes all the time! Our mall has a store called aerie (which is a company within American Eagle) that sells pajamas and comfy clothes. I just love it, and want to spend so much money whenever I go in there!
5. Chocolate chip cookies are my weakness. Cookie cakes, break and bake, homemade....I do not exclude any, I like them all. My dream is to one day have a cookies and milk bakery. Where all we sell is different kinds of cookies and different kinds of milk too. I would love to find milk that they still sell in bottles..... wouldn't that be fun?!? I want my shop to feel cozy, kind of like Meg Ryan's bookstore "The Shop Around The Corner" in the movie "You've Got Mail." Like you just walked into your grandma's house when she was baking cookies. :)
6. I love kids and love cooking, and I had the coolest job in college at a kids cooking school in Dallas. I even taught some Dallas Cowboy football player's kids. My dad was way impressed when I told him I met Moose one day at work! We taught kids in ages from 2 1/2 all the way up to 12. We also did birthday parties, which was my favorite part. The kids got to make pizzas and decorate cupcakes, it was a fun time for all!!
7. I like to match...all the time. Bryan teases me that my pajamas don't always have to match, no one is going to see them. But I have a better peace of mind when my t-shirt matches my pj pants. I can't explain this, it's just the way I am. I wish I could dress like they do on the show "What Not to Wear" where they use coordinating colors, but I just can't seem to figure it out. If I have a green (see #2) shirt on, I will more than likely be wearing green shoes, with green earrings, and maybe a green headband. A little overboard, I know. I'm working on it. :)
Well if you made it this far...congratulations!! Sorry that was so long sometimes I get carried away. Thanks for reading more about me, I hope you learned something.
