Cookies Fix Everything! :)

To show off our new house I thought I would do separate posts for each room. Naturally we will start with my favorite room in the house the... kitchen!

This is our coffee bar that looks into the living room. Bryan spoils me and makes lattes on the weekends, yum!

Here is our new calendar on the fridge. I got those salt and pepper pictures half off at Hobby Lobby! We also have our vitamins on top. Including the gummy ones, that are for adults. :)

Here is our wonderful window over the sink. I know it's kind of small but that is my rosemary plant on the window sill. I got it and the cute pot it's in at Home Depot. Eventually I hope to have more herbs up there!

I ordered these labels from Vinyl Express on Etsy. You can check her shop out here. She custom made them for me and was great to work with. I just love how they turned out!

The other side of my kitchen. I absolutely love my green Kitchen Aid mixer! Most everything you see here are wedding presents.

This is our message center. I made the mail box and we got the magnet board from Mema. If you look at the top left you can see a cute picture drawn by Ryan on the back of our wedding RSVP cards. :)

The inspiration for it all! Bryan got me this picture for my birthday and I knew I wanted to decorate our kitchen using the colors from this.

Here is our dining room. Not much going on here. I would like a new light fixture, but we are just renting so I will have to put up with it. :)

I love this shelf! We got it at Garden Ridge. I needed extra space for my cookbooks and other decorative kitchen stuff. The picture on top is one that Ryan took of whisks. On the third shelf is my recipe box that I made with my mother-in-law Carla.

Whew!! That was a ton of pictures. Thanks for sticking it out. I figured that since I am showing you around my kitchen I need to share a recipe with you. I made these cookies with some leftover candy I had from our dessert on the Fourth of July (more on that later). I borrowed the recipe from Picky Palate, and adjusted it to the candy that I had on hand. I used butterfinger, mini M&M's, and mini Reese's peanut butter cups. They sure were tasty! She has tons of great cookie recipes that I am looking forward to trying.

You can check out her recipe here.

Here are some pictures of my cookies!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!
FYI: Chick-fil-A is giving away free meals today. All you have to do is show up at one of their restaurants dressed like a cow. :)
