We had a great time last weekend because my parents came to visit!! I didn't take any pictures, so I can't show any documentation, but I promise they were here! :) We had tons of fun shopping, showing them around, and just hanging out. I LOVE having visitors. Thanks for coming mom and dad!! You were a much needed breath of fresh air. Love you.
Now, I want to tell you about my love for all things Dr. Seuss. I love how whimsical his characters and stories are. They are so fun! When I get a classroom of my own I am going to decorate it in none other than Dr. Seuss stuff! I already have a small collection of things, but I love to search for hours online for more things, dreaming of the day I have my own room. It's crazy how much stuff there really is! I thought I would share some of my fun Dr. Seuss finds from tonight.
The first thing I found was from a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower...how fun! While I am not having babies of my own any time soon....they had so many fun details.
This is the "Horton Hears a Who" table, I think it's my favorite!!
And look at these cool GREEN CUPCAKES!!!
Pottery Barn Kids also has a line of Dr. Seuss stuff. I found this Pop Up book that include excerpts from 7 different book. Sounds so fun!
Here is some custom art from a seller on Etsy. I just love the polka dots. They have little sayings for use in the bathroom, but I think it would be cute to have classroom rules on them. :)
These storage bins would be PERFECT for a classroom. There is an endless possibility of things you could store in them. (I found them on Amazon)
These cute chairs would go great in a reading corner in my classroom. :)
I will leave you with some of my favorite inspirational quotes.
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!"
"A person's a person, no matter how small!"
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You're the guy who'll decide where to go."
