Happy Sunday! Hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was full of all kinds of NEW things. :)
Last Tuesday, we went on our field trip to
Central Market. It is a local grocery store (local to TX) but it's not your ordinary store.
They had tons of fun eating outside, playing on the castle playground, and then taking a tour. They got to taste green lemonade with parsley, spinach, celery, and cucumber juices. Some of their reactions were great! They also got to pet a lobster, and try cheese and gelato! Tomorrow, we will be filling out our field trip booklets, where they will get to compare prices and write about their experience.
The first memorable part about this weekend is....we bought a new car! Bryan sold his beloved Tacoma, and we bought a BMW X5. Don't feel cool or fancy enough to own a BMW, so here goes nothing! It's been fun driving it around this weekend. It has some really neat features, that have been fun trying to figure out. I can't wait for my commute in the morning! (Never thought I'd say that!)
Bryan and Kelty had to jump in to checkout the cargo space!
The back has a little tailgate that pops down.
**And for the record, I was a little sad as well seeing the Tacoma drive off. I'd gotten used to driving it, and it's been in the Clements family longer than I have!
And my new table and chairs got delivered. They were the perfect finishing touch to the space. We got the table at Haverty's (Ralph Lauren Collection), but didn't like the chairs it came with, so we mixed and matched with some other ones in the store until we came up with this combination. It's counter height with a quartz top. Now we just need to center the light!
We finished up our weekend with a trip down the street to Curly's Frozen Custard. We tried out the Frito Pies and their Concretes. We now live in walking distance to this and Dairy Queen! Better start the workout plan NOW! :)
I made banana bread tonight, and now we are busy getting ready for the week ahead. It's that time of the day, when you realize the weekend is coming to an end, and you have to go to work tomorrow. But, we only have 6 more weeks of school left! (but who's counting?)
