Warrior Dash!!

This last Saturday, Bryan and I ran in the Warrior Dash up in Conroe. It is a 5K that also has different obstacles along the way. Some obstacles included: jumping over fire, crawling through mud, climbing up cargo nets, climbing over hay, and trudging through knee-deep water and over floating logs. It was interesting to say the least! Bryan was very sweet, and stayed with me through the entire race. I was really nervous, because I wasn't sure what to expect. Here are some photos of our race day fun. :)

Had to take a picture of the time chip they gave us to put on our shoe. Thankfully we got a prize when we finished...one free beer, ha!

We met up with Tanner (who works with Bryan) and his girlfriend Courtney. They were running at the same time as us, 2:00 on Saturday. This is our before picture when we were still clean.

The sun sure was bright!! It was super hot while we were running. So hot that my favorite part was running through the river, just because it felt cold. :) We came away with some sun.

This was towards the first part of the race. We slid down this mud covered hill, weeeeeeeee! It was fun, but our shoes got wet, so we were squishing through the rest of the race!

Jumping over the FIRE!

We survived, and are covered in mud!!

They had a huge mountain of shoes, that you could throw your muddy shoes on if you didn't want them anymore. I ended up using old shoes to run in, and then threw them in the pile. I think they donate the shoes. You can only imagine how this smelled...yuck.

I borrowed the pictures from the Warrior Dash site. If you want to see more just click HERE. Towards the middle of the page you will see "Sports Photo" and click on "Saturday" right below it. Then just type in our names and you can see all the fun pics!

Just for running the race we each got: a shirt, a warrior hat (with horns), and a medal. It is a huge event! We probably had at least 200 people in our group at 2:00 and they had a new group start every 30 min. It ran all day Saturday and Sunday. Then after the race they had all kinds of food booths set up and a stage with a band. People brought lawn chairs and hung out. It was just a big party!

They have these races all over the world, so if your near one you should check it out! It sure is an adventure. :)

ZOO fun!

We had such a fun time at the zoo with my fam! It was the best weekend ever.

I took this at lunch on Friday, and I love her cute little smile. :)

Ry Ry and Elliot ready to go to the zoo! (with babies in tow)

We got to ride the train in Herman Park that is right outside the zoo. It was a short ride, but it was good to pass the time while the boys parked the cars.

There were 2 baby elephants, that were sooooo cute!!

Acting like kids!

Love this picture. Elliot is blessed with the sweetest uncles. They were never far away from her.

LOVE this

::GIRAFFES::
The main event!! She had been waiting all day for this!

Beautiful creatures

And we even got to feed them lettuce. Such fun!

Riding the carousel. Of course she picked the giraffe!

The best picture of the day!

We all had such a great time together, and Elliot loved it. She was the star of the weekend. We are so thankful they got to come visit. I treasure these times and wish they happened more often!

Our next trip planned is back to Amarillo in April to meet the newest Jackson....
Charleigh Jo!
