Lately

I've been slacking on updating my blog lately. It seems we haven't been up to much. But here is a little glimpse into our lives the last couple of weeks.

We've been very busy in preschool lately...

For letter O week we made these cute owl handprints and owl s'mores. I love them!!

For P week we made footprint penguins. Love their sweet feet! :)

I am so thankful for the internet. It's so easy to find cute ideas. I don't know how teachers use to teach without it!

One of my precious littles from my class is having heart surgery next Tuesday. It's his 3rd one, and he's only 4. His mom brought by these prayer bracelets for his class so that when we see them we can remember to pray for him. Love this idea, and I am going to be wearing mine non-stop. Our kids miss him so much and have decided they want to have a party when he gets back!

I made some chocolate whoopie pies in the shape of footballs for the Superbowl. I really like how they turned out, and the cooking process went a whole lot smoother, than last year.

Kelty decided to track some mud in the house the other day. Looks like we will be renting a carpet cleaning machine...

We had a super low key Valentine's day which I loved. No gifts, just some quality time spent together. We cooked a nice steak dinner and had some wine. Then we had a movie date to see "Just Go With It." I loved the movie!! I laughed the entire time, and there was a special cameo by the one and only Dave Matthews. He made the movie even better. We finished off our night with some special chocolate wine. It was delicious!

Last weekend I discovered my new favorite breakfast treat. Muffin tops!! I just used a package muffin mix and instead of baking it in cups, I used a baking sheet. Use a cookie scoop to spread out the dough and bake for about 10 minutes. I even made a streusel topping and they were delicious. Definitely something I will make many more times. Super quick and easy!

Our sweet little Kelty has turned into quite the cuddler lately. He loves to be right next to us, {or on top!} when we are on the couch. He also loves to stick his head right next to ours, and shower us with kisses. Such a sweet boy!
