Camping Snapshots

A few snapshots that I took on our camping trip last Sunday night. We camped in Sam Houston National Forest which is only about 1 hour north of where we live.

Our setup

A camping snack :) {love the old school packaging}

Can you tell we camped in a National Forest??

Brewing coffee in our new percolator.

Coffee Close-up

Breakfast cooked on a campfire tastes the best! We had breakfast tacos, eggs and sausage on tortillas, yum.

The campsite was right by Lake Conroe, so in the morning we took a walk down to the lake.

Cute bridge on our walk.

When we booked the site the chance of rain was 30%, but the day we drove up there it was 100%. But that didn't stop us! It rained for a good part of our stay, but thankfully it stopped long enough for a fire on Sunday night. We were able to cook hot dogs and s'mores and get warmed up! Monday was still foggy, but no rain so we explored a little. We are already ready to go again. :)

{All pictures were taken with the Instagram app on my phone, and it's free!!}

Christmas 2010 Highlights

We had a marvelous Christmas!! My mother-in-law keeps referring to it as the best Christmas ever, and I just might have to agree with her. :)

**CAUTION: Major picture overload. **

Christmas Eve was spent with the extended Clements family. We ate mexican pile-on, and participated in a boy/girl gift exchange. This is the view from upstairs. We had about 15 people there and we had a ton of fun!

We saved our Christmas Eve presents for when Nathan and Kendra got in. Once they got there we we opened our Christmas pajamas. Kelty liked my new slippers. :)

Christmas morning at the Clements' house. Love this tree!!
(I tried to convince Carla that I would help her take down the tree if I got to keep the ornaments I liked. She didn't go for that idea, ha!)

Kelty and Heidi got toys too. Kelty was very interested in Heidi while we were home, but Heidi could have cared less about Kelty. She would hoard all her toys and keep them in her bed, ha!

Nate and Kendra. Kendra is opening up the gift we got her.

Kendra and I got big shots (craft die cutter) from Keith and Carla and they were a huge surprise!!

After our morning festivities and a delicious lunch of ham, macaroni and cheese, and potato casserole, we moved on to the Jackson household. Elliot got the gift opening started. She was very into Christmas this year, and it was so much fun!

She got these adorable pink cowboy boots from Ry Ry and B. She was walking funny in them because they were a little big so she can grow into them. She was the cutest cowgirl!

My mom's gorgeous tree. Growing up, our Christmas trees were always flocked, and I love how it looks. I forgot to get a picture with all the presents underneath.

The higlhight of the day was when we surprised my parents with money for a trip to Seattle. They were COMPLETELY surprised! I'm so glad we pulled it off. It was so much fun to give it to them and see their priceless reactions. It was very emotional.

Us posing by the tree. We got some awesome presents this year. My favorite being my new Vera Bradley purse!

Me and my momma.

B and Ash.
I didn't seem to get any pictures of the boys, but I promise Jordan and Ryan were there too!

We continued the Christmas celebrations the next morning, with Mark, Christie, and Sandy. Christie is Carla's sister. We always have so much fun with them, and they give the best gifts! :) I love that our tradition is to open gifts and eat pizza. I look forward to eating Pizza Planet pizza every year.

The Clements fam. I'm so glad Kendra was here, so us girls aren't outnumbered anymore!

Our little family. Kelty is being so still because someone was holding a treat.

We truly enjoyed each minute we got to spend with both of our families.
Can't wait for next year. :)

WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!

New Year's Baking Eve

We spent our New Year's hanging out with my precious niece. We made Fruity Pebble Rice Krispy Treats (because they look like confetti!!) and gingerbread cookies.

These are my favorite pictures from the night. Elliot was in rare form and, she made me laugh so hard that I was crying. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!! She started singing a silly song about putting butter in her nose. I have it recorded so I will try to upload the video soon.

As you can tell by the look on her face, baking with Bryee is sooo much fun!!
This might be my most favorite picture EVER

Three of my most favorite people. LOVE them!!

Our trusty helpers. :)

Can't believe it's 2011!!
I'll post Christmas pictures soon, can't wait to share how much fun we had.

Missing these...

We are back from spending 10 days with our families for Christmas/New Year. It was relaxing, recharging, emotional, exciting, and FUN!!! But I sure am missing the little girl that belongs to these sweet toes...
