Fenway

This Friday on Kelly's Korner it's "Show us your life" Pets edition!! So, I couldn't miss an opportunity to talk about my Fenway. I got him right before I started college. Some people I knew from high school were selling black labs out by the mall, and I just had to have one! I named him Fenway because Fenway Park in Boston (where the Red Sox play) is by far the coolest baseball stadium I have ever seen!! I like it so much because of the history there. I also like the Red Sox as a team, but the stadium was the inspiration behind the name. I also gave him the nick name Punker, because well sometimes he acts like a punk. :) The name kinda stuck, and he answers to both Fenway and Punker.

This is my all time favorite picture of him, because I think he looks like a stud. :) My brother took this in my parent's backyard. He loves to play Frisbee and fetch. Our house is next to an open field, and if you accidently throw a toy over the fence, all you have to do is open the gate and Fen will run and find it and bring it back. :)

He is always full of energy, but he sure loves his sleep too. He LOVES to cuddle, and has to be touching you when he lays next to you. He's just a big sweetie!

He grew attached to my dad, and became his shadow. I couldn't bring Fenway to college with me, and tear these two friends apart, so he still lives with my parents. I told you he likes to cuddle. :)

This picture was taken with my phone, sorry for the low quality. It makes me laugh!! Bryan put his sunglasses on him, and he just sat there.

He is a great dog. He is very loyal, and loves to greet us at the door when when get home. If we've been gone 5 minutes or 2 hours, he still gives us a big welcome!!

I love you and miss you Punker! I'll come see you soon!

Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping him after I went off to school. I hope he's not too much of a hassle!! :)

Bryan and I can't wait to get a dog, but we're going to wait for a little bit. When the time comes we want an Australian Shepherd. I'll keep you updated on that front.
Have a great weekend!!

Melmo

No, that wasn't a typo. I meant to type 'Melmo' insead of 'Elmo.' I found these cake pops by bakerella and they made me think of my precious niece. Elmo is her favorite!! I wish I could make some for her, but they look very difficult. Bakerella leads you through the steps to make them, so if you want to see more check her out here. She makes amazing cake pops like this all the time!

She made Oscar, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster as well since it's the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street! I love the little cookie in Cookie Monster's mouth, so cute!!

To prove my point, here is Elliot in her Melmo slippers that Nonni and Pops got her. She wanted to see the horses behind my parents house for the longest time, but when they actually went out there she was a little scared. The horse liked her slippers too! You can see her death grip on Pops. :)

Also, we are WAY excited about Keith and Carla coming to visit this weekend!! The last time they saw our house was when they helped us move in. It looks much different now. We love visitors!!!
