Just what I needed

We are so close to {a much needed} Thanksgiving break at school, and the days leading up to break usually means the kiddos are C.R.A.Z.Y!! Which causes the teacher {me} to be WORN OUT!! But in the midst of the craziness today, one of my littles brings me this note:

Translation: "Thank you I love you for being my teacher."

Melt my heart!!

That sweet note mixed with a super great evaluation from my principal was the little push I needed to get me through the rest of this week. :) I'm looking forward to spending a week off with my hubby and driving home for Thanksgiving. It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

Fierce Competition

On Fridays in Kindergarten, we play a game with our word wall words. I split the kids up into two teams, and they get to decide on team names. These were the team names for today, and as you can see it's proof that the nice guys don't always finish last. :)

Happy Weekend!!

Oct/Nov Iphone Update

I've been MIA on the little ole blog here lately, and I apologize. I feel like we've been going non-stop these past couple of months. So, here's my best attempt at a quick update.

At the first of October, we took a quick trip to Chicago after we went to Nathan {Bryan's brother} and Kendra's wedding up in Wisconsin. It was fun getting to spend a few days sightseeing.

Cloud Gate

Taking a pic of our reflection.

Apple Store on Michigan Ave. after Steve Job's death. And famous Chicago sign

My sweetheart and the skyline

The sweet note I got from one of my littles when I got back! Made my heart melt. :)

Also in October, we attended the ALCS championship game. Bryan and I had so much fun going to the game with both my brothers and their wives. It's a once in a lifetime memory that I will never forget. The atmosphere was indescribable, and the confetti was icing on the cake!

And we are now both officially residents of the DFW area!!!!! We are SUPER excited about this new chapter in our lives, and know without a doubt that this is where we are supposed to be. We had to live apart for a few months while we got everything ready to move, and we are really enjoying being back together. And Kelty loves having his family all in the same place!

Here is Kelty cuddling with his dad. :)

We even had a date night last Tuesday to see David Cook and Gavin DeGraw. I was up wayyyyy past my bedtime {especially on a school night} but it was worth it. I really enjoyed seeing Gavin DeGraw live; he was extremely entertaining

And last weekend Bryan headed up to Oklahoma to watch the A&M vs. OU game, and I went to visit my Nana and Ken up in Guthrie, OK. My parents brought Elliot, and I drove up with Ryan and Brittyne. We had a relaxing weekend, complete with a nature hike, four wheeling, and Elliot playing vet with Nana's cat, AC. She sure is good entertainment! :)

And that's been our lives in a nutshell. I'll do my best to keep this thing updated! :)
